Job Summary

Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our team with a focus in Diagnostic Imaging. As a Diagnostic Imaging Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality images utilizing digital radiology and CT. You will work with a talented and fun group of veterinary professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced knowledge of animal anatomy for proper positioning and imaging
  • Completion of imaging requests from multiple departments, ensuring timely and accurate results
  • Calculation of medication doses and administration
  • Anesthetic induction and endotracheal intubation, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Proper use of anesthetic ventilator, rebreathing, and nonrebreathing systems
  • Maintenance of all necessary logs and equipment for the department
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in veterinary practice with a focus in diagnostic imaging
  • Veterinary Technician Certification, and/or Veterinary Technician Specialty in Diagnostic Imaging is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills
  • Compassion and love of animals
  • Strong veterinary knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
