Job Summary:
Talent Software Services is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in a contract position. This opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Overview:
Our Manufacturing Operations teams are responsible for ensuring the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. We work in a fast-paced environment with a "Safety First, Quality Always" mindset, striving for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas, including floors, walls, and equipment
- Preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing glassware and equipment for use
- Assisting with equipment setup and operation, including aseptic procedures
- Concurrent record keeping, including charts, log books, and documentation
- Demonstrating safe work habits and maintaining a safe work environment
- Formulating, filling, labeling, capping, packaging, and visually inspecting vaccines
- Assisting in training new team members and reviewing production records
- Attending training classes and workshops to improve job skills and product-related procedures
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED with industry-related lab experience or Bachelor's degree with industry or academic lab experience
- 1+ year of lab experience
- Able to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned work within own area
- Recognizes problems and uses existing procedures to assess solutions
- Works on tasks to meet time frames set by others
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend information and to effectively convey information to colleagues at various levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Laboratory experience
- Biology or chemistry education background
- Mechanical aptitude
