Cook Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable Cook to join our team at Shepherd Oil Co. in Alva, OK. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and be able to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

The duties of a cook include preparing food according to recipes and health and safety guidelines, handling utensils and equipment, and maintaining a safe work area. Additionally, the cook will be responsible for following receipts, measuring ingredients, and rotating stock. Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of federal and state standards regarding food preparation and storage are required.

Job Requirements

* Follow receipts, including measuring, weighting and mixing ingredients
* Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
* Handle and store ingredients and food
* Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
* Rotating stock

Education and Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent is required
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must obtain/maintain alcohol license

Work Requirements

* Stand for long periods of time
* Creative and skilled in food preparation
* Strong time management skills
* Physically capable of fulfilling all requirements, including lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds
