Job Title: Residential Rehabilitation Counselor 3

Join the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) as a Residential Rehabilitation Counselor 3 and make a difference in the lives of individuals with behavioral health issues. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct care and support to residents in a residential setting, helping them achieve their treatment goals and live fulfilling lives.

About the Role:
  • Provide individual and group counseling to residents, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
  • Monitor resident progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address challenges.
  • Document resident interactions, treatment plans, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Three years of experience providing direct care to individuals with behavioral health issues, or one year of experience as a supervisor/lead worker and two years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles, theories, and practices.
