Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurocritical Care Physician Assistant to join our team at Northshore. As a critical care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our neuro-intensivists to manage complex cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with neuro-intensivists to care for stroke and other neurologic conditions
  • Manage intensive stroke care, complex post-op patients, and other critical cases
  • Collaborate with surgical and neuroscience programs to optimize patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Minimum 1-year recent acute care experience in a hospital setting
  • Current Illinois Physician Assistant license and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Prescriptive authority and controlled substance licensure as needed
