Job Description
- Perform comprehensive assessments for medical and surgical patients, considering psychosocial, physical, educational, and cultural needs.
- Educate patients and families on pain management and utilize effective tools for assessment.
- Develop and maintain individualized patient care plans based on assessment and response to treatment.
- Ensure safe medication administration by following established protocols.
- Document nursing processes and patient responses promptly.
- Exhibit flexibility and strong organizational skills in stressful environments.
- Mentor and model professional nursing practices.
- Provide critical reports of patient conditions for safe transitions of care.
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond to any findings appropriately.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing school.
- Current licensure in Connecticut.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire or within the orientation period.
- Effective communication in English (verbal and written) and basic computer skills are essential.
