About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Technology Project Lead to join our team at Gensler. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for leading the adoption, implementation, and advancement of design technology in our project environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of BIM and digital design strategies across all phases of the design process.
  • Collaborate with regional design technology teams to monitor and report on model metrics and other analytical data.
  • Identify and resolve opportunities for model management to optimize performance and user experience.
  • Develop project-specific BIM execution plans derived from Gensler's standards framework.
  • Author and develop design solutions to address project needs through the use of various tools, scripting, and workflows.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on design technology-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design technology and apply this knowledge to improve our project processes.
  • Maintain consistency with Gensler's global and regional standards while understanding and respecting individual project needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and prior work experience in the construction industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in a project-specific BIM/digital design role in all phases of design and delivery.
  • Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit Architecture and other related Building Information Modeling software.
  • Experience with design visualization tools and applications such as 3D StudioMax, Enscape, Vray, etc.
  • Familiarity with computational design applications such as Dynamo, Rhino/Grasshopper, etc.
  • Knowledge of implementing International BIM Standards like ISO 19650 throughout the project.
  • Experience working in Architecture or Interior Design practices, with detailed knowledge of project processes, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Good knowledge of architecture and interior design processes and workflows.
  • An articulate communicator who can convey design technology-related concepts to all levels of design and delivery professionals.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and constantly seeks out new opportunities.
  • Reliable, responsive, and a positive attitude with the highest degree of integrity.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands.
  • Punctual, able to adhere to deadlines, and have a strong work ethic.
  • A basic understanding of sustainable design and operations is preferred.
