Join our team at Aiken Regional Medical Centers as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with emotional and behavioral disorders.

About the Role:

As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, competent nursing care to patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinicians, mental health technicians, and recreation therapists to deliver comprehensive, individualized treatment services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide group and family psychoeducation, as well as individual psychoeducation sessions.
  • Develop and implement nursing-related programs as needed.
  • Conduct initial recertifications and concurrent reviews for PHP patients.
  • Track daily attendance, admissions, and discharges of PHP patients.
  • Participate in the development and review of treatment plans.
  • Communicate and coordinate services with supervisors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist the Assessment and Utilization Review department as needed.
  • Compile and maintain accurate patient charts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum three years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably with assessment and referral experience.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in South Carolina.
