Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Anodizing Technician is responsible for executing various anodizing processes, ensuring high-quality metal finishing for a range of components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and organizes procedures and sequences for anodizing operations, including Type I, II, III, Class I, Class II, and Hard Anodize.
  • Interprets technical drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate voltage and amperage settings.
  • Prepares metallic components by immersing them in acid solutions for cleaning.
  • Monitors and manages parts during the finishing process in designated tanks.
  • Conducts thorough visual inspections of finished products and related tools to guarantee consistent plating across all surfaces.
  • Handles the racking of components pre- and post-anodizing.
  • Records operational data and results into the computer system for tracking purposes.
  • Follows all safety protocols and regulations diligently.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in English, with the ability to read and comprehend technical documents.
  • Skilled in interpreting blueprints and purchase orders accurately.
  • Capable of adhering to detailed instructions and established plating protocols.
  • Familiar with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges.
  • Experienced in operating acid tanks and setting up plating equipment.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail for identifying defects in parts.
  • Comfortable with data entry and using computer systems.

ITAR COMPLIANCE: This position is subject to ITAR regulations, requiring the employee to be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Exposure to elevated temperatures, noise, and chemical vapors in production settings.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential.
