About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team at LoneStar Oncology in Georgetown, TX. As an APRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in the care and teaching of patients
  • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies
  • Write prescriptions for medication, blood products, and other treatments as needed
  • Participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds to ensure patients receive appropriate care
  • Provide on-call coverage and perform hospital rounds as needed
  • Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program
  • Master's degree required
  • APRN or PA license in the state of Texas
  • Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply
  • Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P)
  • Current BLS
  • Minimum 5 years experience as APRN or PA, specifically in Oncology
