Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the care of adolescent and adult patients with psychiatric and mental health disorders. This role requires strong assessment, planning, and implementation skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing, preferably within the past two years. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, but not required. Current licensure as an RN with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing is mandatory. Professional certifications, such as an RN ANCC Certification in Mental Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, and/or Holistic Health, are also highly valued.
Responsibilities- Assess and monitor patient daily functioning and assist in mental health symptom management
- Demonstrate purposeful, informed, results-oriented critical thinking, resulting in safe, quality care and good nursing judgment
- Monitor own level of expertise continuously using ongoing self-assessments
- Collaborate with team, seeks timely advice, and gives and always accepts feedback to ensure safe patient care
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000-$115,000 per year, depending on education level completed and years of experience. Requirements- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree
- Current licensure as an RN with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing
- At least 1 year of experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing, preferably within the past two years
