Job Summary

The Emerson Hospital seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality patient care. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to deliver comprehensive care to patients in various units, including Adult Medical, General Surgery, and Oncology. You will work closely with nursing management to ensure that care is provided in accordance with the hospital's philosophy and standards, as well as regulatory agencies and professional organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and prioritize care accordingly.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Document patient information, progress, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or oncology units preferred.
  • Licensure and Certification
    • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required.
    • BLS healthcare provider certification required.
  • Skills
    • Basic nursing skills, including assessment, communication, and critical thinking.
    • Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
