Position Overview:

Nuvance Health is a prominent healthcare network comprising various hospital and outpatient facilities, providing a wide range of medical services across Connecticut and New York. Our organization includes renowned institutions such as Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, and Sharon Hospital, along with several primary and specialty care practices.

Sign-On Bonus: Eligible candidates may receive a $60,000 sign-on bonus, applicable to external applicants with a minimum of one year of current RN Acute Care experience. Internal transfers to bonus-eligible roles do not qualify for this incentive. The bonus will be distributed over a three-year period of continuous full-time employment.

Work Schedule:

Standard Hours: 36.00
Work Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, including holidays.

Role Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care and leading nursing staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient needs and planning appropriate care activities.
  • Implementing care plans and evaluating patient responses to treatment.
  • Managing therapeutic environments and directing nursing care provided by team members.
  • Serving diverse patient populations based on departmental services.
Qualifications:
  • Current CT RN License is mandatory.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BLS Certification is required.
  • CPI Certification is necessary.

Location: This position is based within the Psych Unit.
