Progressive Care Registered Nurse

Job SummaryThe Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers to ensure seamless pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. As an advocate for patients, you will support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Document administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical patient care.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
Methodist Hospital is a full-service hospital with over 260 beds, offering specialized services for liver cancer care, emergency care, weight loss surgery, urology surgery, vascular surgery, inpatient rehabilitation, colorectal surgery, and behavioral health care. We are a designated Center of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Excellence and have received consecutive Grade A scores from the Leapfrogs Hospital Safety Grade survey.
