Key Responsibilities
  • Develop knowledge of business development opportunities for all product lines
  • Help the Agency grow by using consultative selling techniques to sell insurance products to new customers
  • Proactively cross-sell and or coordinate with agency team members to provide additional coverage to existing customers
  • Prospects for new business through leads, telephone calls, networking events, trade shows, and personal contacts
  • Secures new business through individual effort and established lead methods
  • Prepares quotations and applications and delivers effective presentations in order to close sales
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently to plan, set priorities and organize work
  • Ability and willingness to make outbound calls and customer contacts daily
  • Demonstrated sales and customer service experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Experience with PC software applications (Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • Experience using a wide range of digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers
  • Experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Spanish speaking highly desired but not required
  • Insurance License Required- must be licensed to sell insurance in Illinois, in the process of becoming licensed or willing to obtain an insurance license within the first 30 days of employment.
