We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at a Critical Access Hospital in the Chicagoland area. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, microbiology, and chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, microbiology, and chemistry
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including hematology analyzers and microscopes
  • Collect and process blood samples, including phlebotomy and blood banking
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate test results
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Science and ASCP certification or equivalent
  • Generalist experience in a laboratory setting, with ability to work all benches
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform routine maintenance
