Powder Coating Specialist

Spherion is seeking skilled professionals to join our new powder coating line. We are looking for dedicated powder coating specialists to fill direct hire roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by performing cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
- Operate airless spray equipment to apply powder coating on metal surfaces.
- Ensure adequate coverage and thickness of the powder coating.
- Monitor and adjust machinery settings to achieve optimal results.
- Inspect finished items for quality assurance and perform necessary touch-ups or rework.
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed.
Working Hours:
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with welding, machining, and materials handling is beneficial.
- Experience operating a crane is a plus.
Education:
No formal degree required.
Experience:
1-4 years in a related field.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in powder coating.
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with power tools.
- Experience in assembling and disassembling parts and components.
- Skilled in airless paint spraying techniques for powder coating application.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders accurately.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on quality control.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills for equipment issues.
