The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Assist linemen in the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform daily activities related to line maintenance, repair, and construction, including but not limited to:
- Preparing and assembling various line apparatus required for specific work tasks.
- Providing linemen with necessary protective equipment for work being performed.
- Keeping work areas clean and organized by picking up scrap wire, boxes, and other discarded materials.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with linemen and other crew members to achieve project goals.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
