About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Access Services (PAS) Representative to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a key member of our PAS team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology: Possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact diplomatically and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to efficiently resolve patient access issues and improve overall patient satisfaction.
  • Insurance Benefits and Billing: Possess knowledge of insurance benefits, covered services, billing, and collection procedures for government and non-government insurance programs and commercial programs.
Requirements
  • Experience: One year of experience in a hospital admitting or medical business office.
  • Education: High School diploma required.
