Retail AssociateReports to the Store Manager.

Job Overview.The Retail Associate is essential in facilitating the daily operations of our convenience store. This role is crucial in ensuring a delightful experience for customers while fostering a supportive environment for team members. The ideal candidate is self-driven and service-oriented, committed to providing outstanding customer service and collaborating effectively with colleagues. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and stocking shelves to prepare the store for daily activities.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
  • Process transactions accurately using the cash register.
  • Handle payments by accepting cash, checks, credit, or debit cards from customers, providing change when necessary.
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere for all team members.
  • Reconcile cash drawer at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Produce precise till reports for each register.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy working environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Execute tasks to guarantee the store is well-stocked and organized.

Qualifications:
  • Some high school education is preferred.
  • Specific skills:
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced setting, capable of multitasking and resolving issues.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Exhibits a positive attitude.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for the entirety of the shift.
  • Able to reach overhead to retrieve products.
