Job Summary

JARC FL is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our group homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized training and assistance to residents in areas such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to address client concerns and ensure seamless communication.
  • Prepare healthy meals for residents and maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Administer medications as needed and store them in a secure location.
  • Support JARC FL's Kashrut policy and participate in Judaic programming initiatives.
  • Ensure the group home is properly staffed before leaving the premises.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screenings.
  • A valid Florida Driver's License and good driving record.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of all required JARC FL training and certifications.
  • Experience in direct care.
  • Home Health Aide certification preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 10-15 pounds, and in emergency situations, move or drag an adult to ensure their safety.
