Job Summary:
Greater Mental Health of New York is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) Clinician to join our team. As a CPST Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing direct services to individuals with persistent psychiatric disabilities, promoting recovery, and empowering them to achieve stability and functional improvement in various aspects of their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mobile treatment and rehabilitation services to individuals who have difficulty engaging in site-based programs or who can benefit from off-site rehabilitation.
- Support individuals in achieving stability and functional improvement in daily living, finances, housing, education, employment, personal recovery, and community integration.
- Collaborate with individuals, families, and other support systems to develop and implement personalized recovery plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices, trauma-informed approaches, and person-centered care to promote recovery and empowerment.
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid license or permit from the New York State Education Department, such as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Creative Arts Therapist, Practical Nurse, or Social Worker.
- Have training and experience in providing direct services related to the treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in using electronic health records and other software applications.
- Reliable, independent, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
