Transportation Specialist

Compensation - $17.60/hour to begin

Employment Type - Full-time, 30+ hours/week

Position Overview:
As a Transportation Specialist, you will operate agency vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transport for all clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle as required.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with clients and team members.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the local area.
  • Comprehend and manage necessary documentation.
  • Address minor issues with riders professionally and clearly.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Requirements:
  • Up to 12 months of relevant driving experience is mandatory.
  • Compliance with mandated reporting protocols.
  • First Aid/CPR/Blood-borne pathogen certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of a physical examination.
  • Defensive Driving certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Children's Transportation Training.
  • Pass a Department of Human Services background check.
  • Clear national and state criminal background checks.
  • Review of the National Sex Offender Registry.
  • Passenger Assistance Training within 30 days of hire.
  • Customer Service training.
  • HIPAA training.
  • Fingerprinting as required.
  • Fire extinguisher training.
  • Emergency Procedure training.
  • Training for managing difficult passengers.
  • FTA Drug Awareness training.
  • Understanding of passengers with disabilities.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks.
  • Must pass random drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license for at least 5 years.
