This is an entry-level management position that focuses on supporting the day-to-day activities of Rooms Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of Rooms Operations, including Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services.
Key Responsibilities- Support the management of Rooms Operations activities, including opening and closing Front Desk shifts, ensuring completion of assigned shift checklists, and operating department equipment as necessary.
- Run and review critical information contained in room operations reports, understand the functions of various operations, and ensure employees have the proper supplies and uniforms.
- Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures, communicate performance expectations to employees, and handle employee questions and concerns.
- Effectively schedule employees to business demands and track employee time and attendance.
- Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and property occupancy, verify accuracy of room rates to maximize revenue opportunities, and use budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to assist in the management of Room Operations.
- Participate in the management of departmental controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals and understand the impact of Room Operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives.
- Assist in the investigation of employee and guest accidents, assist in the use of a guest information tracking system to ensure a successful repeat guest recognition program, and set a positive example for guest relations.
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, effectively respond to and handle guest problems and complaints, and seek assistance from a supervisor as necessary.
Marriott International offers a competitive hourly pay range of $24.04 to $26.92, a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, and other life and work wellness benefits.
