Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the pharmacist in the performance of pharmacy duties, including filling prescriptions, processing patient information, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers and patients to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Operate pharmacy systems, including cash registers and inventory management software, to ensure accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions and customer transactions.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, as well as maintaining knowledge of company asset protection techniques.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification.
