Position Overview:
Richardson International Limited, a leader in the agriculture and food processing sector, operates a cutting-edge oil packaging facility. We are seeking a dedicated Steam Plant Technician to join our team, ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities.

As one of the oldest and largest fully-integrated oilseed processing and packaging companies, Richardson International has multiple facilities across North America, producing a diverse range of canola-based products.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all workplace health and safety protocols, company policies, and general workplace regulations.
Actively participate in the daily health and safety initiatives by:
- Utilizing required personal protective equipment at all times
- Ensuring that authorized tasks are performed safely
- Implementing necessary controls to mitigate exposure to hazards
- Engaging in incident investigations, training, and other safety programs
- Reporting unsafe acts, conditions, and incidents as per company procedures
Record and report daily readings for water, gas, and electricity to the Environmental Health and Safety department.
Conduct water sampling for designated areas during each shift.
Monitor and maintain readings on compressors and boilers.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including regular boiler blowdowns.
Operate and oversee all refinery and related processing equipment and control systems.
Conduct physical inspections and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues.
Ensure processes are operated within specified parameters.
Complete all logs and documentation accurately and promptly.
Assist in basic preventative maintenance tasks and uphold general housekeeping standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must hold a current First Class Steam License from Memphis and Shelby County.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.
Effective reading, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to directions.
Experience in a warm to hot industrial environment.
3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or equivalent technical education.
Familiarity with troubleshooting and repairing water tube boilers, air compressors, and related equipment.
Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal.
SAP experience is advantageous.
A High School diploma or GED is required.
