Our product portfolio encompasses Prescription Safety, Lenscare, Eyewear Accessories, Lab & Dispensing, Ocular Surface, Exam Supplies, and Vision Testing.
We are currently seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our team in Fairfield, Ohio.
The Material Handler is responsible for conducting put-aways, transferring shipments to designated areas, and overall material replenishment for the department.
This role requires the ability to lift 40lbs and stand for long periods of time.
The hours for this role are 6:30am - 3:00pm, and we pay weekly.
We offer a referral bonus equal to $1,000.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and delivering raw materials via forklift, pallet jack, or cart for efficient line operations.
- Replenishing production lines with raw materials and tracking related inventory using our inventory control system.
- Performing QA on finished goods, wrapping pallets properly using automated pallet wrap, receiving them into inventory, and moving to proper locations.
- Labeling boxes accurately and neatly according to customer specifications.
- Tracking progress of job runs to avoid over-runs and ensure new jobs are prepared for efficient changeovers.
- Organizing raw material inventory based on job specifications and quantity.
- Properly accounting for and returning unused raw materials to inventory.
Requirements:
- A team player with a mission-first mentality.
- Carefully adhering to all organizational safety practices, including following appropriate procedures and wearing required PPE in designated areas.
- Meticulous attention to detail regarding Quality Assurance and the processes we follow to enable our common goal of producing superior products for all customers.
- Able to work independently and within a team, understanding that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance.
- Understanding the basic operations within a production facility and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Able to track inventory, perform basic math calculations, and report critical information to your supervisor.
- Comfortable with using a ladder and capable of lifting boxes that weigh up to 40lbs.
- Certified Forklift Operator or extremely confident in learning to be one quickly.
