Utility Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Utility Worker to join our team at Cheyney University. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and welcoming ambiance of our front-of-house area.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dining and kitchen areas to meet high standards.
• Operate dishwashers efficiently and maintain them to ensure optimal performance.
• Handle waste disposal and support recycling efforts to minimize our environmental impact.
• Restock dining supplies to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support our culinary team.
• Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines, reporting any issues promptly to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a food service environment.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures and practices.
• Ability to collaborate and work well within a team.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
• Flexibility to adjust to varying tasks and schedules.
