Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach in our Culinary Arts program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach classes in culinary arts, including cooking techniques, kitchen management, and food safety
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Five years of industry experience in a high-volume or fine dining venue
  • Supervisory experience in the culinary industry
  • Certified or certifiable as a Certified Sous Chef or higher
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Teaching experience at the collegiate level
  • Experience working with traditional and non-traditional students
  • Experience with course development and assessment
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a standard culinary arts classroom environment with standard equipment and software.
