Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fieldwork while maintaining professional interactions with clients.
  • Administer security protocols for Direct Digital Control (DDC) Building Automation Systems.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at optimizing building performance to enhance energy efficiency.
  • Provide training sessions for maintenance teams on HVAC operations.
  • Formulate project implementation work plans.
  • Diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues effectively.

Work Environment:

This position is based at the University Services Building and follows a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in construction coordination and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of DDC building automation technologies.
  • Understanding of safety regulations in construction environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in client-oriented settings.
  • Over 3 years of experience in the installation of sophisticated HVAC systems.
  • Capability to troubleshoot HVAC system issues utilizing BAS data.
  • Familiarity with the University of Iowa's Direct Digital Control systems.
