The role of the Industrial Engineer is to innovate and refine products, systems, and designs to enhance safety and operational efficiency. Proficiency in Lean manufacturing techniques is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess operations to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Design and implement effective production processes and workflows.
- Ensure processes are structured to meet quality benchmarks.
- Minimize waste and resolve production challenges.
- Review production schedules, processes, and specifications for improvements.
- Analyze data to introduce technological advancements in production.
- Establish controls to manage costs and mitigate production issues.
- Collaborate with various departments to create design and production standards.
- Conduct inventory assessments and manage procurement orders to fulfill production requirements.
- Design facility layouts and determine personnel needs for production operations.
- Assist in developing instructional materials and process documentation for production staff.
- Ensure work processes are safe and address any safety concerns.
- Generate comprehensive process reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related discipline such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 10-25% as needed.
Work Schedule:
This position typically operates from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to accommodate business needs.
