Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and marinate food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits
  • Work one or more cooking stations, including falafel, kabob, rotisserie, and sandwich/plate preparation areas
  • Measure and assemble ingredients required for preparing standard recipes
  • Cut and portion food products to company standards
  • Use a scale to ensure proper portioning of food items
  • Minimize waste of products
  • Stock and restock items on line
  • Maintain clean dishes and other wares
  • Rinse and cut raw food products
  • Receive and store food supplies and equipment
  • Communicate with team members and management throughout the shift regarding the status of orders and availability of products
  • Understand and comply with food safety and temperature standards
  • Maintain the cook line area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage area
  • Rotate product according to 'First In, First Out' to maintain shelf-life standards
Requirements
  • Food Handler Certificate
Working Conditions
  • Some exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, and humidity
  • Reaches, bends, squats, and frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk through the duration of the shift
