Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Safety Specialist to join our team at Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager. This role will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety management system to protect employees and the environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and investigations to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are aware of and comply with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and implement strategies to reduce the risk of injury and environmental concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, injuries, and environmental compliance.
  • Develop and implement environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety of employees and the environment in the event of an emergency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
