Outpatient Therapist

Gosnold, a renowned non-profit organization, seeks a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Clinician to join their team. Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial evaluations and patient intake interviews, assessing presenting problems and formulating diagnoses.
- Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans and continuing care plans as necessary.
- Provide individual, group, family, marital, child, and adjunctive therapies as needed and within area of expertise and limits of credentials.
- Manage crisis situations, including on-call consults, and interact with referral sources and external providers to ensure coordination of patient services.
- Participate in continuing education activities and in-service training programs to maintain expertise and meet credentialing and privileging requirements.
- Monitor caseload to ensure compliance with third-party payers, including chart reviews, pre-certification requests, initial and continuing reviews, and authorizations.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to provide professional mentorship to interns, counselors, and visiting students.
- Adhere to the professional staff code of ethics and maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, dual-relationships, and professional stature.
- Master's degree in a counseling or related discipline.
- Five (5) years of supervised counseling experience in the behavioral health field, with working familiarity and/or direct experience in the use of relevant technology (EMRs, tele-health, etc.).
- Training in special population areas necessary for provision of effective counseling and care management.
- Ability to interact and relate to persons in early recovery from addiction.
