Job Title: Dishwasher

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Lucille's BBQ Rocklin. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils, and place them in racks to be washed in the dish machine.
  • Sort and stack clean dishes, and carry them to the cooks' line and other storage areas.
  • Change the dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
  • Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
  • Set up and break down the dishwashing area.
  • Clean and roll/unroll mats.
  • Filling/emptying soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
  • Sweep/mop floors.
  • Assemble/disassemble the dish machine.
  • Sweep up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster.
  • Perform general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
  • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
  • Notify the manager if the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
Requirements:
  • Moderate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Moderate interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in an oral and written format.
  • California food handlers card required.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Multi-task oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One or more years of full-service restaurant experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is standing the entire shift. The team member frequently reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries, and pushes. The team member frequently uses hands or fingers, handles or feels objects, tools, or controls in repetitive motions. The team member is frequently required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The team member frequently lifts and carries tubs, cases, trash, and plates weighing up to 75 pounds.

The team member is regularly exposed to kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and chef's knives. The team member works primarily indoors in a hot and damp environment. The team member must frequently communicate with coworkers. The team member is occasionally exposed to hazards, including cuts from knives, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns; frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, extreme cold; frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items; and frequent washing of hands.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
