Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and providing support for the imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and provide appropriate educational support.
  • Prepare patients for radiology exams by positioning them for the procedure and following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.
  • No experience required.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
  • Radiographer, Licensed certification.
  • ARRT-R Radiography certification.
Work Environment

This is a PRN / Per Diem Shift position, working in a fast-paced imaging department. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, with frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
