Job Overview

The Spa Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the Spa Director with the daily management of spa operations. This includes ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining the spa's facilities, and overseeing staff performance. The ideal candidate will assist in scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations, while embodying the core values of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times. Manage inventory and supply orders through the designated system. Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring coverage for all shifts. Address any performance issues and conduct evaluations as necessary. Conduct regular check-ins with staff to ensure adherence to standards. Welcome guests warmly and provide personalized service throughout their visit. Supervise staff attendance, appearance, and overall conduct. Ensure compliance with front desk procedures and operations. Facilitate effective communication between the spa and other departments. Oversee spa operations during assigned shifts, ensuring a seamless experience. Ensure completion of daily checklists and assignments by staff. Conduct regular inspections of the facility and report any concerns. Maintain open lines of communication with the Spa Director regarding operations and guest needs. Uphold all standard operating procedures in the spa environment. Acquire in-depth knowledge of all spa services and promotions. Guide staff in delivering exceptional guest experiences and service. Maintain a clean and professional work environment at all times. Provide on-the-job training to new and existing staff as required. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Participate in training programs as necessary. Ensure that all treatments are adequately staffed and resourced. Complete all opening and closing procedures for the facility. Address any immediate maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Engage in spa activities, including meetings and quality assurance initiatives.

HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

Demonstrate commitment to the company's mission and values. Complete the orientation program covering all policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of the hotel’s history and guest services. Monitor guest satisfaction through feedback programs.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of supervisory experience. Minimum of 2 years in a customer-focused environment. Team-oriented and dependable. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Capability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds. Previous experience in a spa setting is preferred.

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:

Proficient in computer applications (Kronos, Resort Suite, Outlook, Birchstreet, Excel, Word). Phone and communication devices. Office equipment including copiers and printers.
