Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Services (EVS) Technician to join our team at a senior living facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, offices, and restrooms.
  • Follow established cleaning protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
  • Handle waste management, including sorting and disposing of trash, recycling, and biohazardous materials according to facility guidelines.
  • Restock cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor.
  • Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests and address spills or other safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned according to schedule.
  • Maintain a friendly and respectful attitude towards residents and staff, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in environmental services, janitorial, or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation techniques, including infection control.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be reliable and punctual with a commitment to the scheduled hours.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
