Are you skilled in mechanical assembly and enjoy working with your hands? AMF Bakery Systems is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician (MAT) to contribute to our operations. In this role, you will be tasked with the assembly of machinery, components, and equipment. You will need to work autonomously, accurately interpret technical documents, and demonstrate proficiency in fabrication methods including cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, and welding.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Effectively interpret and adhere to technical instructions
  • Utilize various fastening and joining methods for assembly
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Complete assignments efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Provide consistent updates regarding assembly progress
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a trade school program
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly roles
  • Ability to accurately understand and execute instructions
  • Mechanical skills for proper use of tools and fasteners
  • Familiarity with hand tools, electrical tools, and pneumatic equipment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Experience operating a fork truck is preferred
  • Welding experience is a plus
