The Information Services Librarian will be responsible for providing high-quality reference and instruction services, including literature searching, training material development, and research methodologies support. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of research processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver high-quality reference and instruction services, including literature searching, training material development, and research methodologies support.
  2. Conduct thorough literature searches and organize results in EndNote for effective knowledge management.
  3. Develop and deliver classes and training on databases and other library resources to enhance user proficiency.
  4. Provide expert guidance on reliable information sources and tools for research, promoting informed decision-making.
  5. Assist with marketing and outreach events to promote library services and resources.

Requirements

">
  • A Master's degree in Library Science, preferably with a specialized or government libraries concentration.
  • ACA-accredited MLS (Master of Library Science) is required.
  • Three years of professional library experience or related setting, with significant experience performing research in a library or information services position.
  • Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects or tasks with challenging deadlines is preferred.
