Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

• Organizing and dismantling assigned workstations with appropriate supplies and food items

• Serving food items in standard portions using designated utensils and dishware

• Selecting and arranging correct items on patient trays

• Determining food items suitable for common dietary needs

• Identifying discrepancies between prescribed diets and menu items

• Setting up dining tables for service, placing food and beverages, and replenishing as needed

• Delivering meal trays to patients' bedsides

• Reporting patient feedback and concerns to supervisors or dietitians

• Assisting cooks in food preparation, including measuring and assembling ingredients according to standardized recipes

• Preparing fresh fruits, salads, dressings, sandwich fillings, and simple desserts

• Reading and interpreting regular or modified menus and individual diet cards

• Conducting thorough cleaning tasks in food service areas

• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Various shifts including early mornings and evenings, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

EXPERIENCE: While a specific length of training and experience is not mandated, applicants must demonstrate sufficient training or experience that reflects their ability to perform the duties of this position.

Physical Requirements: The role may require heavy lifting, pushing carts, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in kitchen environments that may be hot and humid, with exposure to sharp tools and hot surfaces.
