Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager

At Sonoco, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of reliability for plant equipment and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the maintenance team to achieve zero-losses by creating an environment where personnel are fully engaged, teamwork and cooperation is routinely practiced, and maintenance personnel embrace high standards for housekeeping, craftsmanship, and equipment reliability.
- Work closely with the SPS (TPM/DTM) Steering Team to effectively deploy the 8 sub-pillars of the Maintenance Excellence pillar and support corporate SPS initiatives.
- Provide leadership to ensure the highest standards of equipment performance are achieved and sustained, including establishing a sufficient number of highly-skilled, trained, and qualified individuals, providing the tools, facilities, and environment needed for success, implementing sufficient controls, and providing appropriate oversight.
- Manage outside contracted labor resources for projects or repairs, including price bidding, review of staffing requirements, and daily work direction.
- Plan and oversee machine maintenance outages for staffing of internal and external labor requirements, proper job scope, and critical time path adherence.
- High school diploma, Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in a paper mill is required.
- Experience in TPM or Reliability field preferred.
- Experience with CMMS preferred.
