Recreational Gymnastics Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recreational Gymnastics Instructor to join our team at George Mason University. As a part-time fitness educator, you will have the opportunity to teach gymnastics classes to children aged 5-12, developing their fundamental movement skills and promoting a love for physical activity. In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, collaborate with colleagues, and provide exceptional customer service to our members.

About the Role:

• Teach gymnastics classes, emphasizing proper technique, safety, and fun.
• Develop and lead special events, such as holiday camps and summer programs.
• Assist with facility maintenance and upkeep, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our members.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality gymnastics lessons, adapting to the needs of diverse students.
• Build strong relationships with parents, communicating regularly about their child's progress and participation.
• Support the management team in planning events, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field, such as exercise science, physical education, or recreation.
• At least 1 year of experience teaching gymnastics or a related sport.
• Current CPR/AED certification and ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $55,000 per year.
