Registered Nurse Acute Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for acute care and general surgery to join our team at Verovian Nursing Agency.
Job SummaryAs a Registered Nurse Acute Care - General Surgery, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing general surgery, from pre-operative assessment to post-operative recovery. You will monitor patients' vital signs, wound healing, and overall progress, ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented.

- Monitor patients' vital signs, wound healing, and overall progress, ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, recovery expectations, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Respond quickly to changes in patients' conditions, providing critical care as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing surgical care outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Hampshire.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care or general surgery nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong clinical skills in surgical care, including pre-operative and post-operative nursing.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
