Position Overview: The Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This position requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, ensuring that all areas are kept in pristine condition and that the environment is welcoming for all members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute custodial tasks as directed by the Facility Director.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the building at all times.
  • Perform cleaning duties including mopping, dusting, trash removal, and window cleaning.
  • Maintain the grounds to ensure a safe and visually appealing environment.
  • Support a safe atmosphere for members and staff while executing job responsibilities.
  • Assist with room setups and breakdowns, as well as snow removal when necessary.
  • Identify and report any health, safety, or cleanliness concerns to the supervisor.
  • Keep an adequate supply of custodial and maintenance materials.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and protocols while performing tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with building and fire safety inspections.
  • Complete other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the custodial field.
  • Knowledge of basic custodial equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule based on job demands.
  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary certifications and training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
