Nurse Manager RN

United Digestive is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Manager (RN) to join our team at Panola Endoscopy Center in Lithonia, GA.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse Manager (RN) is responsible for the routine functioning of the Endoscopy Center, working in collaboration with the Director of Endoscopy. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in achieving patient outcomes in accordance with the facility's mission.
- Provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center, adhering to physician's orders and recognized nursing techniques.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care given to patients, ensuring self-directed work with minimal supervision.
- Assess the need for nursing care based on the schedule and develop a staffing pattern to promote nursing care commensurate with these needs.
- Determine staff needs, develop/adjust time schedules, and ensure appropriate assignments in accordance with staff abilities, patient needs, and scheduling needs.
- Define nursing care needs in complex situations and identify nursing interventions to meet those needs.
- Document on all forms as required and administer medication as directed by the physician under the guidelines of the State Board of Nursing.
- Communicate/interpret both standards and policies to staff, hold them accountable for maintaining current knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Facilitate quality improvement in the delivery of care and maintain open positive communication with nursing personnel and other health professionals.
- Assume responsibility for performance management, consult with Directors as appropriate, and perform performance evaluation, counsel, and utilize the disciplinary process and document as appropriate.
- Facilitate efficient patient flow and bed management, working collaboratively with endoscopy manager, business office staff, clinical staff, and physicians.
Experience in surgical services and/or GI endoscopy required; 2 years management experience preferred; good clinical assessment skills, flexibility, and basic computer skills necessary.
Must be able to successfully cross-train to perform other tasks in the endoscopy center.
