Position Overview

Mobile Crisis Outreach Specialist (Full-Time)

Compensation: $24.83 per hour

Community Care Alliance is on the lookout for a dedicated outreach specialist to become a vital part of our forward-thinking mobile crisis team. This role is essential in actively connecting with community members who may not be receiving treatment, providing them with referrals, resources, and access to necessary care. The outreach specialist will serve as a crucial link between at-risk individuals and available support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visits to high-need community locations.
  • Transport clients who are interested in pursuing services.
  • Facilitate communication between community members and treatment resources.
  • Engage in data collection and perform additional tasks as required.

Outreach specialists play a significant role in reducing stigma by offering education, resources, and support to vulnerable populations. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong cultural awareness and sensitivity towards affected groups, uphold the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and possess experience in crisis intervention, harm reduction, or community outreach. A capacity to thrive in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team environment and a creative approach to problem-solving are essential, as this is a pioneering program. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, with language proficiency being recognized in compensation.

Qualifications:

An associate degree in a human services-related discipline is required, along with relevant experience in behavioral health or community organizing; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidates who are trained and/or certified as Community Health Workers are strongly encouraged to apply.
