Community Recreation Instructor

Cuyahoga Community College is a leading educational institution committed to providing high-quality programs that cater to the diverse needs of our community.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Instructor, Community Recreation to join our team. This role will be responsible for delivering non-credit recreational courses, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for students and community members.

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing and delivering engaging curriculum that caters to various fitness levels;
• Providing instruction to students and community members in a supportive and inclusive manner;
• Setting up and cleaning up after each class;
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent;
• A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in a similar role;
• Current CPR/first aid certifications;
• The ability to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures;
• The ability to perform aerobic activities for extended periods.

Possession of an Associate's Degree in a related field, demonstrated experience with community-based instruction, and professional presentation skills are highly desirable.

This role may involve working in a variety of environments, including offices, classrooms, and outdoor spaces. You may be required to work in areas with moderate noise levels and varying weather conditions.
