Position Overview:

  • The Electrical Component Technician is tasked with the assembly, installation, and connection of electrical parts and wiring for the production of recycling equipment, along with the testing of completed units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering lists to ensure accurate assembly of machinery.
  • Read and understand electrical diagrams and wiring layouts.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely for electrical assembly tasks.
  • Employ tools such as saws, sanders, drills, and conduit benders to perform necessary functions.
  • Work with both low voltage control circuits and high voltage motors and components.
  • Safely operate and conduct tests on finished machinery.
  • Adhere to and document all required procedures meticulously.

Physical Demands:

This role is set in a heavy industrial environment, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment. While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Stand for prolonged periods.
  • Sit, stoop, and bend.
  • Reach overhead.
  • Lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 pounds.
