Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our rail infrastructure maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, developing and implementing training programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including the Authority's System Safety Plan (SSP) and FRA Part 270.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs that meet federal requirements and contractor-approved training standards.
  • Cross-collaborate with operations, equipment, and supplier teams to develop annual training scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure employees have access to accurate and up-to-date rules and requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a similar role, such as Chief Safety Officer in a rail environment.
  • Prior experience demonstrating accomplishments that enhanced efficiency, accuracy, reliability, timeliness, and subject matter expertise in railroad infrastructure maintenance.
  • Knowledge of FRA, FTA, CPUC, and other state and local regulations and practices related to contracted operations, maintenance, and capital work.
